The Gaddar Telangana Film Awards 2024 have officially brought back the celebration of Telugu cinema with grandeur and purpose. After a 14-year gap, the Telangana state government revived its official film awards, this time under a new name, honoring the legendary revolutionary singer and poet Gaddar.
Replacing the former Nandi Awards, the Gaddar Film Awards 2024 not only recognized the best films of 2024 but also honored cinematic achievements from 2014 to 2023. The initiative was led by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, marking a major cultural revival for the Telugu film industry.
Leading the winners this year is Nag Ashwin’s sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD, which bagged Best Feature Film and Best Director.

Allu Arjun was awarded Best Actor for his riveting performance in Pushpa 2.

Nivetha Thomas won Best Actress for her moving role in 35 Chinna Katha Kadu.

SJ Suryah for Best Supporting Actor
Saranya Pradeep for Best Supporting Actress
Bheems Ceciroleo for Best Music Director for the film Razakar.
A 15-member jury, headed by actress Jayasudha, reviewed over 1,200 entries for fairness and excellence. The awards ceremony will be held on June 14, 2025, at HICC, Hyderabad, featuring special performances and tributes to Telugu cinema legends.
The Gaddar Telangana Film Awards 2024 have reestablished the importance of state recognition in Tollywood, combining cultural identity, talent, and cinematic brilliance.
