Vaadivaasal is an adaptation of the iconic 1940 novella written by C.S. Chellappa. The story revolves around Picchi, a determined young man who enters the famed bull-taming arena of Periyapatti. His mission? To confront and tame Kaari, the legendary bull that once defeated his father — turning it into a symbolic tale of honor, revenge, and tradition.

This project marks the first-ever collaboration between Vetrimaaran and Suriya, creating massive anticipation among cinephiles. After multiple delays due to the pandemic and scheduling conflicts, Vaadivaasal is now back on track. Filming begins in June 2025, with shooting planned in real Jallikattu locations for authenticity. The film is being produced by Kalaipuli S. Thanu under V Creations, adding a layer of industry excellence to the ambitious project.
